Vodat International has been awarded the prestigious ISO 27001 accreditation.
Vodat International was recently awarded the ISO 27001 accreditation. ISO 27001 is the only auditable international standard which defines the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The standard is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls. It is highly effective for organisations, like Vodat, which manage information on behalf of others, as it assures our retail customers that their information is being protected.
The standard adopts a process approach for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving our ISMS.
Secure environment
The accreditation demonstrates the independent assurance of our internal controls and meets corporate governance and business continuity requirements. It also:
- Independently demonstrates that applicable laws and regulations are observed
- Demonstrates to our customers that the security of their information is paramount
- Independently verifies that our organisational risks are properly identified, assessed and managed, while formalising information security processes, procedures and documentation
- Proves our senior management's commitment to the security of its information
- Helps us to continually monitor our performance and improve through the regular assessment process
Commenting on the award, Vodat International CEO, Mike Bielinski said,
"Obtaining this accreditation made good business sense as it built on our previous PCI DSS award. It demonstrates our commitment to security as we invested over £100,000 of capital, time and training to achieve it.
