Vodat improves communications for Henderson Group in Northern Ireland with a new network infrastructure, and to meet PCI DSS compliance standards.

Henderson Group, the owner of the Spar, Eurospar, Vivo and Vivoxtra franchises in Northern Ireland, has selected Cheshire-based Vodat International to introduce a new network infrastructure to improve communications between its stores and head office and to meet PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) standards.

The group, which distributes food and grocery related products to the convenience retail sector, needed a network to support EFT, Pay point and e-Top Up transactions. The network will also support connectivity for Henderson's managed e-mail and internet services with firewall and anti-virus protection and boost inter-site connectivity between stores, allowing remote access via a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) for the store owners.

Andrew Logan, IT Director at the Henderson Group, said, "We wanted to improve communications between our stores and head office environment to improve efficiency in areas such as stock replenishment. We also required technology that complied with the PCI DSS standards and Vodat helped us to reach this goal."
