Vodat has been singled out by judges at this year’s Stockport Business Awards, winning nominations for its innovative approach to digital networks and for its prowess in marketing. The firm is among an 80-strong batch of hopeful companies to enter this year’s awards and it’s up against stiff competition from local organisations such as digital signage experts Pioneer Group and Stockport County FC.
The first nomination was for the Marketing Award. Judges were particularly impressed by the marketing campaign around Vodat’s cybersecurity services, which centred on our ‘Vodat Man’ security guide. The guide was highly visual and packed with actionable insights, giving retailers the inside track on network cybersecurity.
Judges also liked the way the guide was part of a wider campaign amplified by an interactive webpage, security blogs online, security publisher posts on LinkedIn, organic social (Twitter/LinkedIn), paid social with persona targeted messaging as well as emails and PR.
Awards body says the eventual winner of the category is to be announced on Thursday 10 October at Stockport Town Hall. It will be an entry that has clear objectives, creative and effective implementation and tangible and demonstrable results for the business and staff.
Meanwhile Vodat’s second nomination, in the Innovation & Enterprise Award category, sees it up against Pioneer Group and hearing aid specialists Starkey Hearing Technologies. Judges will decide which company is best able to show how innovation has been used to create competitive advantage and contribute to growth.
